University Eye Center accepts most health insurance plans, including Medicare and NYS Medicaid. Our network of participating insurance plans is always growing. If you do not see your plan listed, please call to see if we now participate.

Helping you receive your maximum allowable benefits and avoid any financial misunderstandings in the future is our goal. For us to achieve this goal, it is your responsibility to understand your insurance coverage and our payment policies. As you are responsible for charges not covered by your insurance plan, we suggest that you verify your eligibility for services prior to your visit.

Before scheduling your appointment, you should check with your health insurance provider to confirm the participation of your physician, and determine your benefits coverage, including what copayments, coinsurance or deductibles may be your responsibility. If you are enrolled in a managed care group, such as an HMO or PPO, you might also need a referral from your primary care physician
